Got my approval letter from Sheriff Mims in FRES-YES!
I have been lurking around for a while and I appreciate all the info on this sight. I applied for my CCW in Fresno County and went to the first interview. Not at all what I expected. The gentleman who talked with me was very polite, professional, and supportive. We discussed the items on my application, and had a friendly conversation about my good cause, and that was it. I was told they will send the packet up the chain and will start my background check that day. Well, I just got a letter in the mail telling me to proceed! So its off to class I go. It seems Fresno county really is FRES_YES!

Congratulations also. I have been waiting 3 months since I sent my application in and still have not heard. They only give the class twice a year in this County.

Tradition dictates that when you get your permit in hand that your first trip into the public while armed is to Walmart for some stomach stopping, tongue dropping, stale nasty Walmart nachos. Gotta get'em!
