Hello everyone!
Hi, everybody! I'm a young film camera assistant and am moving to LA in the next week or so.
I am going to be going through the process to get a CCW license, as money permits. Anyway, I wanted to say 'hi' and introduce myself. I've been reading this forum for a bit and there seems to be a great deal of good advice and wisdom, as well as gunusers who are far from the 'nuts' that many people think of in relation to concealed carry. On behalf of the Founding Members, welcome, Pana (as in Panavision?). Currently, you have a very steep uphill battle to get a CCW in LA County. Hopefully someday the policies will change so you don't have to be at the Spielberg level to get one.

If you haven't actually committed to living in LA County, you might consider one of the CCW friendlier places to settle down.

Well, I have just committed to living in LA county, at least for the next year.
Dan M.- Yes, as in panavision. I'm moving to LA to begin a carreer as a film cameraman. I like uphill battles

I have friends and family in "hollyweird". One of which is old friends with a cameraman. I'll find out about where he works.
