Welcome aboard. I too was nervous about my application but finally got off my butt and did it. SD is a tough one right now but the opportunity to elect a new CCW friendly sheriff will be presented soon.

Become involved,,,, and enjoy the site.

Welcome to the forum. There are a few from your neck of the woods here who might be of assistance. There are some here who can help you with your gc, also. Good luck.

Ok, so now I have an official job at an actual security company. I am armed, I would like to apply for the CCW to do executive protection the company does.

Only hesitation i have is the requirements.
I am 19 years old and do not have an actual proof of residence since i still live with parents.

Any suggestions?

What CCWI said. Also, "Employment Purposes" does not qualify for "Good Cause."

My recommendation, and probably that of everybody else here: Wait a couple of years on your CCW app. Do good work, get lots of training, and study this site to get a good handle on what is required for Good Cause, etc.

BTW in a couple years everything may have changed - for the better or for the worse. But training and practice are always the right thing to do.
