FNG From Shasta County
Just recieved my initial CCW in the mail today.
 4 weeks, 4 days after the livescan and interview. Not too bad...For many years Shasta County has been fairly willing and generous in their CCW issuance policies for those good citizens who qualify. I'm ready to accept the responsibility and added security for my family and myself with my new CCW. I enjoy your forum, which consequently was recommended to me by a friend at the Shasta County S.O....

That's great news. However, living in Sacramento County is like living in SF County. I have a business where I carry large amounts of cash at times and I have been told by those in the know: "DON'T BOTHER TO APPLY." That just offends the hell out of me! Better I get jacked and shot rather than have a CCW?
