Of course, Heller ought to have a great civil rights case in the making here.

Itll go to the DC circuit first.... And they ruled for Heller BEFORE Scotus took the field. And Scotus WILL NOT REHEAR THE CASE (its not a new case.... ITS THE SAME CASE!!!! By denying HELLER the registration, DC has shot itself in the foot- No pun intended)

Heller is going to get his gun.... And all the DC city council is doing is helping us by looking like a bunch of jerks.

Not to mention they seem to be implying that their OTHER gun control laws should be overturned by the same decision... Man, that's a stupid move.

Now he can go back to the district Court (who still have jurisdiction over the original case I believe) and ask that the City be compelled to register his gun in accords with Heller. If they dont comply with the order, the Court can start issuing Contempt charges.
Our tax dollars at work yet again.
No wonder the goavernment has not money left for anything else.

I wonder what they would do If you took one of those 12 shot .22LR revolvers in there?

Good news is though that you can register your P90 free and clear, as it is a top loader

All kidding aside, if they are going to be big butts about the whole thing and only register revolvers, then so be it for now. The law abiding citizens need to get as many legal guns on the street as possible. Then when nothing happens, like gutters full of blood, and the crime rate starts to recede it will provide definete proof to the gun brabbing nuts that guns in the hands of responsible citizens are a good thing.

Sadly, if they haven't figured this out from Florida or the other 37 right-to-carry states, I don't see how it's going to make a difference.
