Default Video - Bakersfield attempted hit

Breitbart.tv » Hit Attempt Survivor is Wisely Ready for Second Try — Shoots and Kills Attacker

An interesting video.

If he was any more low-key he'd be asleep.

A strange statement in the video..... Victim would have offered "him" a job before the first time????

Just curious, but how many molotov cocktails have been used in CA lately? Where did the cocktail go once the burglar/hit man was shot in the back?

Pretty good police work to find the other three involved in the incident ....
there is always more to the story.

It seems to me I've heard of a couple in California over the last few years. Can't place them.

My assumption is that the Molotov was not burning, and that the shootee dropped it at some point.

To make things even stranger... one of the perps..not the dead one..obviously..I mean...duh... did a tv interview and admitted he went to the house with the dead one and a couple of his homies to kill the "victim"...

word is victim is an interesting character... and the leo in me wants to know why he was targeted...why would 4 mexican mafia/nuestra type boys target a "regular guy" to shoot him and burn down his house? Makes a man wonder don't it? My buddy lives down the street/around the corner and there are several cops etc. who live in the neighborhood... nice area.... the fellas I know aren't talking about the investigation...

After receiving the dose of lead...two carloads of perps allegedly drove to a nearby road and called the cops as one of them had hisself a little old a shotgun wound... that's when the local constables swooped in and arrested the dead one and his buddy... they found the other two later... leastwise that's how I remember it...

The can of gasoline....is probably NOT sitting in the property room of the local men in blue...well they wear black but men-in-black would imply other things.... and this is bakersfield....

the Paper...here we go again... says it was a justifiable shooting...or..That's the word on the street anyway...

Funny you should ask... in my role as a Probation oficer... found 4 Molotovs, a shuriken, a nunchucku (never could spell these without looking at the penal code), and a shotgun at the home of a probationer last spring....

Personally know of two cases where they were applied in an attempt to burn houses down... in one case the girl who spurned the ex-boyfriend throwee called her daddy and he went outside and administered an attitude adjustment upon the throwee until the deputies arrived.... the other was a "hate" crime by a couple of skinheads who didn't like the idea of black folks moving into Oildale.... but these were several years ago..

I hope to high heaven this guy is getting some PROFESIONAL help with his security problems. He does not come across as some hot-shot macho stud type and I suspect he is pretty much on the up and up.

I only gets weirder by the day.... the guys ex set him up to be hit by getting her new husband to get another guy who worked for him, to pay some other guys who worked for guy#3 to hit the guy in the video. They are all in jail but the ex girlfriend has never been arrested as they can't prove she is the one who caused it all and she is pretty wacked according to the paper...now they arrested the shooter for violating a restraining order and the question remains - how did he have guns when he has an active DV restraining order?

Weird and Wacky Western Bakersfield.... gotta love cause I live here!

The video is sooooo yesterday... the latest is the guys who ordered the "hit" didn't want the guy dead... just beat up alot... and now they are blaming the dead gangbanger for taking things too far....
Per the local paper:
The alleged murder plot started when Giangrossi and his stepbrother, Jim Skiba, hired Jesus Estrada, Cesar Montoya, Alberto Torres and Ulises Espino to kill Stewart, deputies have alleged.

On Oct. 7, a shotgun round fired into Stewart's home in the 15000 block of Westdale. Stewart suffered a scratch on his knee and did not seek medical attention.

On Nov. 5, Stewart shot and killed Espino, who police say was breaking into Stewart's home. Estrada, Montoya and Torres, who allegedly accompanied Espino to Stewart's home, were later arrested.

Giangrossi turned himself in to the Kern County Sheriff's Department on Nov. 29 and Skiba was arrested. All five men were charged with attempted murder and conspiracy.

Giangrossi's wife, Madica Giangrossi, took the $183,000 that was in the box and went to stay at her husband's daughter's home, according to the court documents. She has not been arrested.

On Nov. 30, Steven Skiba, the brother of Jim Skiba, gave a 12-gauge shotgun to detectives. Steven Skiba said the shotgun belonged to Giangrossi, who had not been hunting in a long time, according to the search warrant.

Inspection of the inside of the shotgun barrel showed it had "striations in the bore consistent with firing a shotgun slug," according to the search warrant.

Investigators believe the weapon may have been used in the Oct. 7 assault on Stewart.

Investigators said Giangrossi hired his stepbrother and others to kill Stewart because Giangrossi believed Stewart had been harassing his wife.

Giangrossi and Skiba told detectives they hired someone to beat up Stewart, not kill him, according to search warrant documents.

This is some weird stuff.... As far as I can tell all of the "bad guys" are dead or locked up...except the victim who is .... well weird...

If they did this as an episode of "Law and Order" I'd shake my head and say 'Can't they come up with something more believable? Real people don't act that way....'
