May not be in any of their public computer databases, but it will be in others that are available in LE-only available databases, so mention it with the best detail (time/place) you can, even if you don't have a case number. If for some reason they can't retrieve it that's fine. If you don't mention it and they do manage to retrieve a record, you have a lot of explaining to do.

Regardelss of whether or not it's sealed to the public it is NOT sealed to LE. Disclose, disclose, DISCLOSE! It can and most likely will come back to bite you in the rear.

It would be a good idea to not assume that because a record is sealed, or even expunged, that they don't have access to the information. LE appreciates honesty. It's been my experience that being completely honest with my answers (short of volunteering information), and demonstrating maturity and levelheadedness, pays off when dealing with the system. Good luck.

Right. "Sealing" or "expunging" a record does not obliterate it to LE agencies. This is true for juvenile records as well as adult records. Sealing and expunging does make the records "less available" to civilian scrutiny (e.g. when you apply for civilian jobs, college admission, credit, etc., and may allow you to answer "No" to questions about criminal arrests/charges/convictions...but for LE purposes you should assume that LE agencies will be able to see whatever it was that has been sealed and/or expunged.

Nothing is safe from the eyes of the law, my brother is still paying for his mistake when he was 17, and he is now 38. Every time he gets invited to the police station they remind him that he was an offender back in Cali, BTW he lives in Kansas, and they can get Cali juvenile records. So I am certain that Cali CCW investigators can tell you every time you were sent home suspended from school (that might be a bit of an exaggeration LOL)

Best case is they can tell you have a sealed record. That alone will bounce your application. Failure to disclose.

OK, have the records sealed (if not done already) but disclose, in as much detail the circumstances of the offense. And then pray..
Sound about right?Cheers
