Done.

DO THIS!!!

Be polite, be succinct, and be proactive in requesting that the Gov veto these bills.

Get your family & friends involved as well.

On that "Interact" link, I found it odd that under the subject of Gun Control, you're asked to state "Pro" or "Con"...and that it makes no sense that we should mark "Con," making a double negative for retaining our rights. Anyone else confused with the selection there?

It's not a double negative. It's not asking if you're pro gun or anti gun. It's asking what your position is on the issue of gun control. Are you for gun control (Pro) or against gun control (Con)?

I understand that. My instinct was to select Pro, then I went back and changed afterward. I wanted to bring to attention any potential for confusion.

I've sent respectful e-mails on a few topics in the past. Here is the response I get...funny, as every response was the same.

"Thank you for writing me about Assembly Bill 962. I appreciate your suggestions on proposed legislation affecting our state.

I generally do not take a position on legislation until a bill has reached my desk because it can change significantly from the time it is introduced until the time it is finalized. For the current session, the California Legislature has until September 11, 2009 to pass legislation, and I have until October 11, 2009 to sign or veto proposed bills.

You may continue to follow this and any other bill under consideration by lawmakers at the Official California Legislative website: Official California Legislative Information. You may also read my legislative messages at Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger - Breaking News, Webcasts, Blogs, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter @Schwarzenegger.

Again, I appreciate your interest in California's future. An informed and engaged public is important for effective government in our state."

Fill in the blank for the bill number.

DONE

Had to stop and think about it before I hit the send button.

The Pro/Con thing leaves a bad taste, like having to press one for English.

I have sent the emails about this bill from the beginning. The governor will not veto this bill and it will have to do will the money the state can get by stopping the internet sales. More sale tax money to cover their lousy performance.

Pro or con == for or against
either way it should be con on both gun control and the bill AB692, it would be more confusing if it was a pro 2A bill.

Please keep the pressure up and prove me wrong.

jerry

This doesn't really make sense, since if this bill passes, you will be restircted to only 50 rounds per month, thus competely eliminating any revenue anyway.

The 50-round transfer portion of bill was eliminated by the state senate along with a couple other issues. The thumb print, sequestering of ammo, licensing portions were retained. It is still one LOUSY bill.

All meaning you will NEVER see it sold at Wallmart again.

How about the mail order part of it?
