That being said, I really do not see it as a big issue. I think if the police are called on me for someone "seeing" my gun, it'd be an inconvenience for me and I'd feel bad that I've freaked someone out, but I don't see it going to court or anything criminal. However, still something to keep in mind and try to avoid as much as humanly possible.

Sorry, but it's not a crime for your shirt to blow upward and expose you weapon unintentionally, it's just not and you will not find a DA that will file charges and unless you draw the weapon nothing can be construed as being threatening, I don't care if it's grandma or grandpa who saw your gun, its not illegal and I don't know of any grandma that would be that terrified of seeing a gun holstered, so I think this hypothetical situation is unlikely to ever happen in the real world. With that said you should always try your best to not expose, but things do happen sometimes that are out of our control.

Remember it's not the gun owners perception, it's the someone else perception. I'm a expert on a case right now where the someone perception is a very big deal.

Just to put my two cents in here, from my observation nearly all people who are LEOs or citizens with CCWs will invest in holsters that fit properly so if I saw someone accidentally have their gun show while holstered I don't see it as a problem. All of us will have a clothing mishap at some point.

Now If I saw some shady looking character with a gun simply stuffed in their belt that is looking for trouble then yes, I would call the police. Most criminals I have seen did not have their gun in a holster when caught and booked.

You should see the stuff they use in the booking process before they go to arraignment court. They use sandwich bags, ripped linen, all sorts of things to hold up those oversized pants. I enjoy making fun of their new found fashion each morning that we walk courtline. I cannot remember a single time since I started working our station jail area in which I have seen a holster come in.

I do like this setup though... it's ingenuitive alright...

I think you hit the nail on the head. In our state, we are cautioned about "imprinting" and "profiling" our weapons for others to see. It's why it's called a "Concealed Weapons Permit."

The last thing you want is to alarm someone. But then again, in my neck of the woods, you see open carry a lot.

I know what you mean. About four months ago I was at an Arbys waiting for my order when some meyth head came up to the counter with the damedest thing sticking out of his pants (NO it was not a one eyed willie) but it was plastic. I decided to leave and came back after he left.
