Favorite method has to be OWB. Current cooler weather makes that doable. Otherwise, a Summer Special "knock-off" in appendix carry.

Ruger P345 in a High Noon Holsters shoulder holster most of the time since I drive a lot.

Otherwise in a Desantis Defender belt holster.

I'm too small a person for IWB with my 45. Sticks me in the ribs.

90% of the time it's OWB. If that's not possible the it's either a Kramer shirt holster or an ankle holster depending on the circumstance.

I tend to use what works best for the situation at hand.

1) OWB
2) IWB
3) Shoulder rig
4) Fanny pack
5) SOB

And YES I have practiced drawing from all. ( I live on a 1006 acre ranch)

Primarily IWB
OWB I have been using Blackhawk serpa BLACKHAWK ! *BlackHawk CQC SERPA Holster - Active Retention - Matte Finish
I like the added retention since it is easier to access. Required added practice drawing from holster to gain speed.

My favorite carry gun is my Kimber PRO CDP II. It has a full size grip w/the 4" barrel and weighs in empty @ 28 0zs. I prefer it over any of my Glocks for concealed carry because of it's slim profile. I have a Galco "Skyops" IWB holster and even w/just a t-shirt on it is "relatively" concealable. Although the Galco isn't the fastest holster to access I have ever used it is by far the most concealable holster I have ever had. If "concealment" is a major factor in your holster choice, by all means look at the "Skyops". It's a definite winner!
