IWB whenever possible.

For work when in my office all day I keep it in the CTAC holster in a leather binder. One of those three ring binder deals that have leather covering it with a zipper around it.

As I type this I can reach down unzip and draw probably faster than I could with it IWB. But the main reason I use this method is I have not been able to comfortably tuck my dress shirt in and feel like I am not printing to people who have worked with me for years. I am adding a smaller piece to my CCW so I hope I can IWB in the near future with a dress shirt.

I carry a Kimber compact stainless in a murse (man purse). I appreciate that carrying is supposed to be comforting and not necessarily comfortable, but I have not found a holster rig that is really concealable and tolerable. The IWBs feel insecure to me and the OWBs don't do a good job of concealing unless you wear your shirt untucked. It may be a little awkward, but murse or briefcase are my prefered method for the time being.

Default CCW Carry Use IWB & OWB

Howdy:

Due to my office environment, my dress code precludes me from wearing an OWB holster thus I carry a Scott MacDougall & Associates customized North American Arms .32 acp Guardian in a Below the Waist Kramer IWB holster. An extra magazine is carried in a Milt Sparks (Milt Sparks Holsters) weak side pocket pouch (PCH-M).

Depending upon weekend weather, I carry a Kahr PM 9 (10,800+ rounds) either in a Smart Carry holster (Gun holsters concealed by SmartCarry concealed holsters) or wear my Bullet50 denim jeans (www.bullet50.com). I've been waiting months for Bulman gunleather (Bulman Gunleather Concealment Systems) and my rig (QRH QUICK RELEASE HOLSTER, QDMPQUICK DOUBLE MAGAZINE POUCH, 1 1/2" belt) was delivered Monday September 10,07. Oustanding leather and was worth the wait! I'll wear this rig when I have the opportunity to wear cover-up clothing plus when training. Another Milt Sparks magazine weak side pocket pouch is carried when wearing my Bullet50 jeans. The jeans magazine holders are too large for my Kahr 9mm magazines.

Depending on where I'm going, what I'm doing and how I'm dressed, I have a collection of holster and pistol combinations that will accommodate most any situation.
I have an Alessi Ankle Holster, Tommy's Gun Pack, Anderson Fanny Pack, Smartcarry, several Sidearmor IWB's, several Comp-Tac Paddles, a couple Blade Tech IWB's and an MTAC IWB.
My favorite method? Whenever possible I prefer an OWB (Comp-Tac Paddle, FBI Cant, strong side hip).

Howdy from another "proud parent" of a PM 9 ... I've got close to 2,000 rounds through mine and it's been amazingly reliable. I've heard plenty of horror stories about those guns but I guess we got two of the good ones

IWB for sure. My main carry gun is a Ruger KP345. I have a Don Hume IWB that I carry 90% of the time. I also have Clipdraws on the Ruger and my 2" Rossi that work very well.

I just this week got the Houston paddle for my Bersa Thunder .45 and it is exceptionally comfortable. Positive retention and smooth draw. No if's and's or but's though, it requires an overgarment. It will work very well during the winter.

My favorite is OWB in my Galco pancake high ride brown thumbsnap holster with my Glock 23 and matching mag holder under a warm flannel in fall and winter.

Default Depends on How I dress

The OWB works fine if you are wearing casual like shorts or jeans and a long and loose fitting T shirt. For more formal stuff, like a pilot uniform or suit, the belly holster such as Thunderwear works great with a small loss of compfort. The belly holster can be a problem when very hot and humid requiring the weapon to be cleaned and oiled every few days.

Inside the waistband... for about 27 years..give or take... 1911's for most of that time, beretta 92, glocks m-22 and M-20/21 and XD 45 ACP Tactical.

Have used the bianchi iwb with the leather tab...sits too high

Galco iwb - excellent but moves around some and the butt sticks out some
Galco fanny pack - alot but not for the last year or so

threatsolutions.com - iwb - excellent! - have holsters for the glock 20 which works for the 22 or the 19 too - the 1911 and the XD is on order all though the glock holster works for the XD- the holster is top notch - very thin and very comfortable - but dave is pretty slow getting out the orders

I have a sparks on my wish list... If my wife hadn't had to have a comp-tac for her XD, I could have ordered the sparks versamax2....She who must be obeyed gets all of the good stuff first.....geez

I carry a Kahr P9 Covert in a SmartCarry rig. It's virtually invisible, and still easy to draw. I guess technically it's an IWB holster, but it holds the gun very low - right over the precious parts. I can carry wearing practically any kind of clothing. Also holds an extra mag.

You wish! You told me last week you can carry BOTH Kimbers at the same time in that holster.

Are you posting on a cold weather thread too?
