I have been running a BladeTech Straight Drop Belt holster since 98 for both IDPA and USPSA. They now make an injected molded version for only $28. Very fast to draw from, get the G23 model and you can run your G27 in the same holster.

Patricia at SideArmor also makes very nice Glock holsters, but higher $$$

Kydex is way faster than leather ever was, I retired the Milt Sparks Summer Special when I got the BladeTech. For carry I run the FIST Universal.

Here's what I usually carry my Glocks in. I like the FBI cant but they have other choices. The "slide" style will accommodate both the 27 & 23.

OWB:
Outside Waistband Holsters - products new home - Paddle Holster

Well I am a fellow G23 owner and just love this one. When I went through my CCW class the instructor told us " get ready for your holster collection" and he was right. I have tried many and up to this point all of them didn't work for me and I thought they would. It is hard to figure this part out without trying it.
I recently purchased a COP mini slide and this works the best for me. It is smaller, black and the canter is great. It also is close to the torso for better concealment and it rides a bit higher. I struggle with comfort driving my vehicle and this ones easily slides to a more comfortable position.

So far i've been pretty lucky, all i have is a CB supertuck iwb for everyday carry and IDPA ( which i started a couple of months ago, what a blast), i also have a bladetech bobby magee owb for idpa and if it's cold and i'm wearing a sweatshirt or jacket i'll wear it for edc. I've learned alot from reading all of your posts.
