Default Galco WB226 IWB holster for a Glock 23. Got one.

Just picked this up today for my G23:

Very affordable at $29.99. Soft cow skin with retention button and belt clip. Notable: It took awhile to close the retention button with the Glock, you just need to push the gun all the way in and stretch over the first button latch to lock onto the female. +1 when using a sturdy holster belt. Drawing drills have been good with the holster, if you don't mind releasing the retention latch.

I'll be carrying on my trip next month and will give a practical report. As I kept it on for a couple of hours doing chores around the house, it felt good...but recommend wearing a wife beater tank top between your skin and holster, instead of being topless . I didn't and my right ribs are red, maybe I should've loosened my holster belt.

Anyways, those curious about this Galco IWB for a compact Glock (I'm also confident that it'll fit a G26/27 also), so far I'm satisfied with it.

Any body else checked this out? Or interested in functionality, please ask away.

At what position will you carry this rig? I have one for my Ultra and carry at the 1 to 2 O'clock. Not many people are comfortable carrying at this position. I also purchased the Galco without the retetion strap.

Can you reholster 1 handed without the holster collapsing? Looks good and I hope it works well for you.

I have one of those. It sits in my pile of holsters which are never used.

As I carried it, It's actually close between 2 and 3. I'm a skinny dude.

Yes, I'm pretty much capable of reholstering it without it collapsing. It still stays in its place, it's not that flimsy. I can understand the difficulty because it's not a molded holster, but there's still leaves a gap to return my Glock into it. The rentention strap probably needs more time to stretch in order to button it with 1 hand.

The 27 would work well with it also; the shorter grip provides more concealment with this Galco.

Is this holster comfortable? I have a Don Hume holster that looks very similar to this Galco but the Don Hume isnt that comfy to wear. I had my G23 in it and I wore it at about the 2 o'clock position Saturday night for about 3 to 4 hours and it was digging into me, made it uncomfortable. I need a good reasonable priced IWB holster for the G23 compact and the G27 sub-compact.

Just remember to be extra careful about that retention strap. Glocks and retention straps don't always get along real well when re-holstering.

Yeah its comfortable when you're wearing an inside shirt to prevent the skin from rubbing against the leather. Recently, I didn't wear a shirt inside and the holster left a nice pink burn mark on my love handles after 4 hours of carrying.

libertarian-I can understand where you're getting at, but the retention button has to have alot of pressure to pull the trigger.

Not if the flap gets into the trigger guard as you're holstering - then you only have to holster with 5.5lbs of pressure and KAPOW you bought yourself a Glock leg.

I carry Glock myself, so I'm not bashing em. You just gotta be REAL careful about that trigger.

Oh boy. That could casue a problem. I will be carrying in AZ in March and I bet itd be pretty hot with 2 shirts on

I'd like a nice either leather or kydex IWB holster but really dont want to spend an arm and a leg on one. 100 bucks for a holster is pretty steep for something I wouldnt use that often. Guess I am asking for the impossible though: good holster, cheap price. haha ususally doesnt go hand in hand.
