Default Carry Rig Pictures And Comments/Reviews

Daily carry for me is usually in my Cochise Defender from KD Holsters. Very adjustable with the front and back Kydex clips. Three positions for each and very secure during drawing, which surprised me. The thumb break (an option) is secure without being restrictive.

Secondary carry is in my Concealco IWB. Holds very tight to the body. The belt loops were a bit small, so I ordered 1.75" loops for a 1.5" belt.

For carry of my most concealable gun I use a Concealco J-Frame IWB. Like its bigger cousin it holds very close to the body, and retention without a thumb break is excellent.

How do the plastic clips on the 1911 holster hold up? Retention of the holster as a whole O.K.?

I've never carried a revolver IWB......is that J Frame much thicker than your typical subcompact autoloader? Looks like a nice set up!
I think I need one of those!

G32, the clips hold up remarkably well, which surprised me. I haven't had any problem with the rig slipping while drawing...and I do practice. The only thing I do is tighten the screws every week or so. The other nice thing about this holster is the easy on/easy off factor. I have ordered a second set of clips to have on hand just in case one ever breaks, but I can't see that happening under normal use.

It's actually not any thicker than the Kimber/Cochise Defender combo I wear 99% of the time. I like it. Holds very tight to the body.

Are you sure you're allowed to carry laser sights? I know you're in I.E., but in OC that's a BIG no-no. My understanding is that it is a big no-no even for LEOs off-duty.

Never heard it being a big no-no for carrying a laser sight off-duty. I think that depends on the Dept. & as to CCW, I honestly don't know, but MarKing lists that he doesn't have a CCW, so it might not matter to him.
