Thanks Glock32 for the advise.
You are very welcome. I just got my new 'Axiom' from Milt Sparks. Very nice, too.

I'd love to get VM2 but am shocked at these backorder times. Someone there needs to take a class at the local JC on how to run a business. 4-8 wks maybe...more then that then you HIRE more people. Yeah you have to train them but if they hired 4-10 people NOW that would be trained by the time the holster I ordered was ready to be built.

They did hire more people. Making a good holster is an art and takes a long time to train.

I totally agree with you, something is wrong when you see consistant wait times like this, come on, holster makers, help the economy, hire some more people!!! Quit being so cheap!!! OR wait until the overseas guys figure out they could do this same work, for less money, and faster...then the American holster makers who will be crying the blues.

Yep....I am wondering when China comes out with the VM2 knock off.

I knew the "art" word was going to come up. I agree that good quality products take time but it's not vascular surgery we are talking about. I am fairly certain that a semi intelligent person could learn the "art" in 2-3 months of making holsters everyday. It's probably not the actual person that makes the holster that is the key but the tools, materials, and techniques taught that make a Milt Sparks a Milt Sparks.

Anyway...off to search the net for a MS VM2 laying around....

Per their website they have 5 employee's. You have to assume that at least one is not making holsters but shipping, answering phones, taking orders, getting materials, etc., etc. So 4 employee's yeilds a 6 month lead time. Hiring a whopping 4 more people would cut that to 3 months.

That VM2 looks pretty good... but at $85 + shipping... I won't be bidding on it (but not because I don't want to)...

They retail for $100 plus shipping plus six months of waiting. I bet it goes for considerably more.

I sold several of my other holsters including my CTAC after getting my VMII. I'll never use another IWB holster.
