My question is: does anybody have, know of a person with, or trained someone with limited mobility in an upper extremity. I'm a heavy guy with limited functional mobility in the left arm & shoulder. I will carry a .38 snubbie and thought a pocket holster might be my best choice for right hand only deployment. Any experience with this situation?

I am taking a stab at your question without knowing your "detailed" situation from the limited description above. But check out IMB too. You can sweep cover garment up. Also gurantees you do not need off hand to grab holster if it gets hung up on your revolver in your pocket. "I do carry a lot in pocket"

Or depending on your situation maybe OWB for same reasons and comfort. I would think a stationary holster would be very important for you. For the same reason you are going with a revolver.

Now if you are talking a jacket pocket verse pants pocket then maybe pocket carry is best for you. But I cringe thinking about any firearm unholstered in a pocket. Even with a heavy double action trigger.

A pocket holster. Consider sewing some Velcro in your pocket and on your holster for more confident one hand draw.
Can you use a fanny pack, belly band, Kramer Confidant shirt or a shoulder rig?

I walk with a cane in one hand, so I have to be able to draw and shoot with the other hand unaided. I carry IWB with a covering garment. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss.
