I would encourage you to look at the second post in this thread, yes, it is mine too, but it comes from a firearms instructor with 30 years of law enforcement experience.

One reason other than "Screaming Gun" that a fanny pack may want to be discouraged for concealed carry.

Default Fanny Pack

It is great in State and National parks as most folks have one on being tourists. Maybe at the beach, but anywhere else.............

CCW is not legal in a National Park and may not be legal at the beach either, depending on which one you go to. Check your local municipal codes before heading to a city/county beach. There may not be an exemption for CCW.

Just came back from the Sierras and used one for hiking. Looked like a dork but felt a little safer. I hardly noticed it after a while.
