I have a mesh multi-use jackert with elbow, back and small shoulder pads .... (my aversion to road rash) .. It has a removabale liner for cooler riding and it has an inside zipper chest pocket. Not sure about fast retrieval, but at least it's there. The waist is quite high as with many bike jackets, so IWB/OWB is really not possible.

I ride a scooter too actually. Keep in mind that if you drop the bike, you may injure yourself more, depending on where you holster your firearm.

Shoulder is a fair idea if you always ride with a jacket, just remember not to take it off when you stop for lunch

I'll re-recommend the Comp-Tac MTAC for IWB carry again. The TT Gunleather clone of the VM2 is also a good bet, since those tend to retain the weapon very well.

I am considering both of those as well as the Summer Comfort and Royal Gaurd.

If you like them, Midway USA MidwayUSA — Shooting Supplies, Reloading, Gunsmithing, Ammunition, Gun Parts & Rifle Scopes "http://www.midwayusa.com" has the whole product line.
Is this a new addition to their product line? I was looking at a holster with that CarryLok™ type feature awhile ago and wrote the maker about it. They said they weren't going to make it for the Springfield XD pistols and I notice this model has one for them.

I just may wind up with that "drawer full of holsters", but it will contain holsters that I use. I just ordered a TT Gunleather IWB a week or so ago.

Default Blackhawk

For my Glock 17 I use a Blackhawk and it's pretty nice. Emits a click and its on full lockdown like Pelican Bay until u push the bottom. Cool thing about it is in case you get in a scrap with someone they have to know how to push the button to get your weapon. Holsters are definetly personal thing though

I carry a G23 and ride. My holster for street riding in winter is a Bianchi high ride with a thumb snap. For summer street riding, it's a CTAC which I customized to be more comfortable.

My Milt Sparks VMII for my J-frame Smiths came Friday. After riding 90 minutes on a bicycle ... not moto .... I was pleasantly suprised with the comfort of a brand new holster. There was no chaffing, or rubbing. I did sweat some and it still did not bother me at all. It sat high enough on the waist that I do not see it causing an issue when sitting on a motobike seat, granted this was a J-frame revolver holster only, but it felt great. It did not appear to print through my shirt either. By sitting higher, it tucked into my body better.
Props to MiltSparks!
