There are WAY too many choice. Like Mike stated, it depends on how you dress, what you carry (as in a purse, fanny pack, etc) and the size of the gun you want to carry. I can only guess that what may work for a man's build may not work as well for a woman when it comes to a IWB holster since women are generally more pleasantly curved.
I've seen some great purses and bags that have quick access flaps. Maybe some of the "softer", good looking members of the forum could chime in with some good starting points for choices. Someone at Burro yesterday had a "fanny pack" with a holster compartment that I was real impressed with. I wish I could remember who that was. I'll keep an eye on this thread. I'd like to see what it produces. ![]()

Bear in mind that fanny packs kinda scream 'GUN' though, so I restrict that to hiking, range day, etc.

Back on topic though: The Tommy's pack doesn't really hold the gun as securely as I'd like for serious carry. For women, I'd recommend trying the smartcarry too. I bet if we put our heads together, we could come up with a pretty sizable pile of different kinds of holsters for Nightingale to try and see what works for her.

However, with a slightly loose t-shirt or hoodie, I could totally pull it off - which actually really surprised me. ![]()

Yeah... Pretty much all my pants are low-rise, even my suits. I think that's half the problem when it comes to concealment, but the higher waist pants just aren't comfortable, and sticking a holster and gun in the waistband isn't going to help any.

Still doesn't give you good positioning for your gun for quick access. Concealment is only 1/2 of the equation. Being able to access it quickly when you need it is just as important if not more so.

Consider a belly band. I see one at the Tommy's website. I have an "Action Direct."
I run around and wrestle with my dog on the floor. The weapon has never budged. Very comfortable, and it doesn't rely on any connection with outer clothing at all. No telltale snaps or loops on your belt, etc. |
