Default bellyband holster

I was digging through my closet last night and came across a bellyband holster that i picked up about 5 years ago...

does anyone here use one?

i usually have to wear a tucked dress shirt and tie to work, and the tuckable holsters i have (bladetech UCH and C-TAC) are still a little bulky and a little obvious (to me anyways).

so this morning, on goes the belly holster with my officer sized 1911. amazingly, it conceals a LOT better than my other holsters and actually, feels pretty stable. Only concern I have is taking it off at home and seeing a red line across my mid-section.

any pros and cons to this holster?

TIA!

I got one for Christmas from our oldest daughter and her husband. (they live in Tennessee and both have CCWs.)

I just can't get used to it. If I have it tight enough to stay in place and feel secure, it feels too restricting. Of course, I have a little extra weight, so that might make a difference. Maybe it is just for "hard-bodies".

They don't make enough elastic to band my belly.

They do, but I think it's called a "Girdle"

ok, it's been about 7 hours now with this belly band. not too bad, but i can definately feel it digging into my skin on the edges.

it'll be interesting to see what my belly looks like when i get home and take the rig off.

oh, and i am by far not a hard body, it barely fits my belly, but it does indeed make a good girdle!

actually, this is the second day i am using it, and have it adjusted just right. honestly, i don't even notice it there any more.

really suprised how well this thing works, and much less obvious than the usual tuckable IWBs.

really impressed....

A "lap-band" works too...

My only concern with the bellyband is that the weapon is pointed directly at the crown jewel. Maybe it's a mental thing.

Interesting... so it can be adjusted so you can carry at 3 o'clock (or 9 for me)? Always thought it's straight down.

I have a Galco Underwraps Belly Band but I'm leery of the velcro being secure enough to keep the rig snug.
