Personal preference wise, i would never leave the barrel exposed like that. I'd beat the trout out of it against doorways and stuff. At least THIS one covers the trigger. I cringe everytime my son watches "Walker Texas Ranger" and Chuck is carrying a 92 in a Yaki Slide with NO trigger covering. I've only seen it in a couple episodes, but it ticks me off - stinkin wardrobe consultants.

My only concern would be, with a 3" barrel, would it then become too top-heavy?

I have the Galco slide in a paddle version that I like, similar but without the 15 degree forward cant. They also make a belt version. It works for me, easy on easy off and the gun is secure and the trigger is covered. I'm not a big fan of IWB's like a lot of folks are on this site, just can't seem to get comfortable with them. The paddle is also easy to adjust position, normally at 5 o'clock, but while driving, 3 o'clock.
