Default which mag holsters do most use here?

I used to carry an extra mag holster on my weak side only occasionally when I was traveling to an area where I though I may need an extra 10 rounds of .45 in a hurry, but have recently decided to carry an extra mag on a regular basis.

The primary guns I usually carry are a Glock 30 and a Para Wharthog. I currently have a Fobus paddle single mag carrier that I bought in a hurry because of a class, but have found that it makes the mag dig into my side while I am sitting (darn lovehandles)

Does anyone here have any suggestions?

Usually just in my pocket. I'm waiting on a leather IWB mag holder from Tucker Gunleather.

I just received Comp-Tac mag holster for my G26. Fits it like a glove and seems to release it perfectly. I have not had a chance yet to carry it over an extended time. They go for $25 and are shipped to you within a week.

I used to just carry an extra mag in my pocket, but recently pick-up a BlackHawk mag holder. It's OWB, but doesn't protrude & is comfortable, plus the price was decent (Less than $20 our the door).

I was talking to my nephew in law who is an LEO in Maryland. He bought a camera case and wears it on his belt with 4 mags and a flashlight in it...

Mind you, he does a lot of decoy work, so often goes around looking like a tourist, but...

Depends on what I'm doing for the day. Sometimes Milt Sparks D-4C, sometimes Don Hume, sometimes Comptac, and sometimes Mitch Rosen.

For general range use, my comptac mag carriers see the most use.

The Wilderness ones are good too. Easy on/off. I have a double for my XD and a single for my Kimber. I need a double for the Kimber.

I have a Galco IWB mag holder, and a Safariland (I think) IWB leather mag holder. Neither is comfortable.

One of the first couple times I wore the Galco, I was walking into a liquor store and felt a weird feeling on my weak side and put my hand there just in time to catch it falling out of my pants - it worked it's way off my belt and fell out of the top of my waistband. Luckily was able to shove in my back pocket without anyone noticing.

So, for now, spare mag in my pocket (1911) or in a OWB holder if carrying my Glock. Still looking for the perfect mag holder - although I want to try the safariland clips ever since I saw them (my LAPD buddy uses them).

Default Yo, Dude.

Dear x-ricer,
#1, LOOSE the FOBUS. It's late and I'm tried. Go WILDERNESS like Dan M. sez. I personally don't use them, but can appreciate them. The holster can fit both guns you carry. The magazine carrier can fit both the 30 and the para magazine. Although, WILDNESS says the holsters are firearm specific the one for the 30 should fit the Para. Get a belt or two while doing business with them. My recomendation would be for the one with the polymer liner for stiffness, it will help presentation speed and help distubute the weight of your handgun and magazine. I wear their belts 365 days a year, they will go for at least three years. And when you yank the hardware out of the holster and magazine carrier and don't feel like taking them off, for running into places you can't go with hardware, they don't scream gun.
