Default Colored grip sleeves for concealment?

I'm wondering if such a thing exists? I ask because I bought a white linen shirt the other day, and to my dismay it's so thin that my Glock shows right through it ... but if the grip were white or flesh colored, you'd never see it. Do light-colored grip sleeves exist, or do I need to patent this idea and collect my millions?

You know, I'm sure there has to be. I tried doing a general search for Hogue grips for Glocks, but everything I came up with was black.

I bet if you don't have any luck on the net and you go to the next gun show you might find something. I mean, you can get a PINK (vomit btw) gun for crying out loud...you should be able to get some tan slip on grips!

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer!

I suppose you could fashion something yourself from either a short section of a very opaque tights or if you're handy with a sewing machine, you could do something with an Ace bandage . . . Of course, you've still got the magazine base plate color to deal with.

I'd just be concerned about putting anything other than a true grip sleeve on there, as it might compromise your grip, should you need to draw.

While I'm all for sheer tops on the ladies . . . It may just not work and still keep you concealed. Good luck, and if you do patent anything and it stems from panty hose or an elastic bandage, I'm entitled to a fair split . . . say 80/20 me?

I'm guessing in a situation with a sheer top on you'd have to put it in your purse or maybe wear a blazer or jacket over your top...

This must be a first. The words "opaque" and "tights" in the forum.

I thought twice about posting, figuring I'd catch s for it.... posted anyway. The big question is... who's offering up their tights for a prototype?

Me? I'm taking the Fifth on the advice of counsel.

Amazing place we have here folks...
CCW help, Gun advice, ammo & gear recomendations, and now we add... fashion advice.

So, while we're on the subject... Please, remind me.

What's the rule for IWB weak side cross draw holsters? Is it black only after labor day?? What about Cordovan???

Is a tan rough side out leather holster ok to wear with a brown basket weave belt?

How about wearing a oil tanned mag pouch opposite a balistic nylon OWB holster?? A fashion do or don't??

JD... since you are the SME on this topic I look to you for help...

I have to agree with Rickr96.
None of us want to embarass the CCW community by making a fashion fubar in public.
We CCW holders have to represent.
We don't want the general public to think that we are strange.

Just start wearing man shirts. Nobody'll see it through flannel plaid.

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I'm no fashion expert, however, Rickr96, I will answer these questions for you to the best of my ability...

What NOT to wear...tactical edition...

What's the rule for IWB weak side cross draw holsters? Is it black only after labor day?? What about Cordovan???
It's not black only after Labor Day, it's simply NO WHITE.

With your coloring you would do well with a pale lavender. However, with Fall coming up you could do more seasonal colors, like burnt oranges or browns. For the holidays, I've been known to color coordinate my bandoleer with red and green shotgun shells for Christmas.

Is a tan rough side out leather holster ok to wear with a brown basket weave belt? Uh, HELLO...those are two very different textures...NO!

How about wearing a oil tanned mag pouch opposite a balistic nylon OWB holster?? A fashion do or don't?? I won't dignify this with a response...

Look, nobody puts it better than my sis: Just because it can kill you doesn't mean that it has to be ugly!

Hey rickr96, hope this helps...and I'm TOTALLY just messin' with you!
