Now that I'm wearing suspenders, i'll have to try the SS II again.

BTW, I thought I had an old MS belt, but it is a Mitch Rosen. It is an AMAZING quality belt. I would suggest these to anyone!

I just checked their site. Which model, 1buba?

I had Sparks send me black belt loops for it and changed them out in 30 seconds. As with many of you I'm on the wait list for a VM2 which I ordered in late April, and hope to see it by November. If the SS-II is a 4 or 5 out of 10 I suppose the VM2 will be worth the wait!
I am interested in hearing you comments about your G-27 and VM II after you get it.

VMII works great for my Glock 26. Very comfy and retention is great.

I've played with (and even owned) a couple SS2's, but never carried in them - however my holster of choice for my Glock 19 is my MS Heritage - which is ultimately just a nicer finish on a SS2 - same carry angle & straps, etc.

I love my Heritage for my Glock. I recommend the SS/Heritage for a Glock for a bigger guy. It sits lower than the VM2 - on the Glocks.

For a 1911 the VM2 is perfect. Don't overlook the Milt Sparks Watch-Six though - it's almost the same as the VM2 minus the hand-boning and one-handed reholstering (come on, is that really necessary?) - and is a little easier to obtain. You can also get the WS with clips instead of straps - which are easier to get on and off.

Some people call me the resident holster expert here...and I'm a self-proclaimed Milt Sparks lover. I have about a dozen Milt Sparks holsters - VM2's, Watch-Six, Executives Companion, SS2, and Heritage. Even a really old one made by Milt Sparks himself. Anyways, with an almost complete line of Milt Sparks holsters sitting in front of me, my favorites are my Watch-Six with Alessi Clips for my 3" Kimber 1911 (the VM2 is my tuckable - but I prefer my Watch Six), and the Heritage (similar to SS2) for my Glock. If I was thinner, I'd probably do better with the VM2 for Glock.

So for availability - you can wait 6 months from MS (not) - or you have 2 choices: 1) Watch Lightning Arms and Top Gun Supply and buy one when they have it in stock for about a $25 premium, or 2) pick one up a used one (or even new one) from one of the gun boards - i.e. GlockTalk/CombatCarry (now DefensiveCarry)/1911Forum/SigForum/FiringLine/etc. Almost all of mine came from option #2 except for 2 that came directly from MS.

Very True. You are the SME for holsters.
