Carry at 3 O'clock, IWB, slight cant is OK. I definately like it to ride high.
Everyone is a little different and has to figure it out, that is why I have a drawer full of holsters.

BTW, USS Midway 80-83, OE Division. ET1.

general rule I think is whatever is most comfortable for you and allows speedy and accurate access to your firearm

BTW good call on TT Gunleather. Tim is awesome, knows his stuff and makes a very nice holster. He talked me out of the Mike's cant based on firearm and body size. he knows his stuff

100% on the IWB Mikes Special for the Kimber, carry at the 4 o'clock.

Consider the TT High Ride OWB holster for the full size.

Be sure to have him make a mag holder as well.

Talk to Tim again when your not distracted. He will help you select the correct holster.

Default TT IWB, Galco OWB or not.

Having only a Utah permit, I carried for 2 weeks thru AZ, NM, TX, and LA. Started with the TT but switched to the Galco because it was more comfortable with all the driving. By the time I got back, I was carrying IWB no holster small of back. The TT was most comfortable while on foot and the better concealing rig of all. You wouldn't go wrong with the Mike's special IWB, especially packing the Kimber Ultra II CDP. BTW, my Kimber has performed flawlessly with factory ammo, but has hiccuped a couple of times on reloads. Hope this helps.

To easy to catch the trigger on something and easy for the gun to fall out.

I suggest you try and get used to having a holster with a trigger guard.

Safe, secure and concealed is the #1 responsibility as CCW holders.

First off, welcome. 2nd, you've made the right choice going with Tim. I'm a fat guy and use Tim's pancake @ 3:30 to 4:00. When trying IWB, I also wore it @ 3:30 to 4:00.

In browsing through the forum I have decided on TT leather for holstering needs. I spoke with Tim this afternoon and quickly learned that I don't know squat. He did allow me to get in line for an April delivery though even though I can't articulate what I want for sure. He definately wants you to be happy and comfortable with your purchase.

I know I want an IWB I have a Beretta PX4 storm 9mm and I have a Kimber Ultra CDP II on order. Not sure if I should go with the Mikes Special, Reinforced, or Slim.

Tim talked about where I want to carry on my body. 3 o'clock or 5 o'clock. He talked about one being more comfortable I thought he said between 3 or 4
He also stated the cant on the Mikes special may be awkward with the beretta.

Truthfully I was a little distracted and didn't have the best connection being at work. So a little help from this enlightened crew would be greatly appreciated. I am so confused now!

Yoda is right, of course, I was remiss and accept due chastisment This only happened at the last rest stop before CA. My leather had been packed away that morning but I kept the firearm concealed until it was locked away at the rest stop.

Plenty of people do this on a regular basis. I am not one of them. In a pinch it's an option on a cocked and locked type pistol or even a sixshooter. On a Glock, oh well, good luck.
