Default galco Skyops tuckable: A quick Review & picks

Hello fellow friends,

I have been on my quest for some time to find a perfect carry method for all the cloths that I usually wear (suit, shorts, hiking, board shorts, etc. It has been fun!

I wear a suit for some days of the week, and a shoulder holster doesn't quite "conceal" the way I would like it too, my suites are cut in a more European style so they are a little tighter than the average "mature" suit. I needed another option for carrying my G23. My build is rather lean, I'm 6'2 165-170

I got a package from UPS yesterday with my Glaco Skyops tuckable IWB holster for my Glock 23. I do understand that having a tuckable holster is not the best way to carry if you have other means, but if you have to wear a suit, or don't like/ cant wear over sized garments, then i think its a great way to carry.

here are some pros:

>very well made, strong leather with tight fitting mold

> very nice cant, something my other galco iwb really needed.

> descrete 3 prong clips for your belt, no large clip with galco logo on it

> Small, snug to the firearm with no unnecessary bulk

>Fair price, I payed 60ish from Amazon, New In Box

> can wear as a regular iwb with out tucking in a shirt.

Some cons:

>only comes in black ( I think brown will come later)

>Belt clips are fixed, so you must have a belt that is that size, not all of my belts will fit.

comparing side w/o firearm-

btw i used a glock 19 gen 1 (as you know my g23 is at robar)

Nice... was looking at that one recently.

Thanks for taking the time to document it for us!

It looks nice and functional, too. I have been struggling to find the right holster for my G27. You are about the same build as me (6' 2" 175#) so this might be the right move for me. Is it comfortable? Have you been wearing it around town for a few days?

I have been wearing it everywhere i can legally carry concealed in California w/o a ccw ( i got this holster for my journeys outside of this state until my cal ccw arrives).

When i carry around the house and other places i can legally carry loaded, I usually carry my Beretta M9 with an OWB plastic Fobus holster.

But since i really want to get comfortable with this skyops, I've replaced my at home M9 firearm with the Glock and this holster.

So far its a great holster, I cant feel it when i'm sitting down, and it allows me full range of motion standing. I have done chores in the back yard, and its not needed any adjustment from the user when its secured on me... in other words, it feels how a holster should feel.

will keep updating.

I saw those at Shotshow. So far everyone who bought one seem to like those.
