Default WTB Reloading equipment

Long time lurker....I'm looking for .38/357 and .40 Auto dies, press, scale etc....

Anyone getting out the activity and looking to sell the equipment sitting around gathering dust?

May I recommend a kit like this one:

MidwayUSA - Lee 4 Hole Turret Press with Auto Index Deluxe Kit

Just a little over $100 with shipping.

This is what I've been using for the last 3 or 4 years when I started loading. Currently I just load.38/.357 and .45. I'll add 9mm soon. My setup I have 2 turrets with perfect powder measures preset for my pet loads for.38 and .45. It only takes about 5 seconds to change calibers.

RCBS makes a great electronc scale for about $85.00 that will speed you up even more.

Check craigslist for the best prices. Somebody had a rock chucker for free once in there, of course I was too late, but still, you never know what's going to pop up on craigslist.

I use a Dillon 550 (4 position) If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought the 650 (5 position) and used 5 for a post sizing position.

I got my Lee press from Cheaper Than Dirt WITH the reload book for $25. And I got Lee .243 dies for $11 and carbide 45acp dies for $21 from Cabelas, and then everything else was as I went along. All in all if you shop you can get in pretty cheap and still get good equipment.

I have a Herter's single stage press for $25 plus shipping. It weighs about 15 pounds. It is one of the old style that angle away from you. It has the Herter's Shellholder that works for 308, 45ACP, 30-06, 280, 270 Win, 243, etc ....

One pull for each function. Old school, but VERY sturdy.

I live in So OC ....
