Default Custom smithing needed for Colt Mustang Plus 2

Does anyone know of a gunsmith I can send my .380 Colt Mustang Plus 2 to?
I am having problems with it feeding the rounds properly. Every so often it fails to feed and it appears that the round does not tip up at the right angle to go up the feed ramp.
I found a guy online, Ken Crawley of Crawley custom guns who works on Colt Mustangs. Has anyone ever heard of him? Is he any good?
I would appreciate any help in this area. If I can get this Mustang to be reliable I may add it to my CCW.

I've been told that this is a common problem with the magazines for the Mustang. Try stronger springs(?).

Bad choice. Send it to me... LOL

I'm with Gimpy, I'd try the springs, but if you really want a good smith for these - try Cylindar and Slide. There is a friend on the board that looks at some stuff, but I don't know if he would want to chime in on this one. I'm only mentioning it so he doesn't think I'm ignoring him... :-)

Thanks,
I'll try Cylindar & slide when I get home. Work computer is filtered and will not let me open their site.

Novaks is a good shop to send 380s to as well. They will have a MUCH better turn around time too. I would recommend starting with spring tune-ups from Wolff. The springs are cheap and most are not difficult to replace if you're reasonably good at tinkering with guns.

Wolff Springs for Colt 380s

I would buy the following:

Service Pack I for Mustang (Includes Plus II)
Stock No. 69511 - Type I.....$ 12.99 ea
I recommend asking for a substitution 12# recoil spring (you will need to call this in) in place of the original 11# spring

You need the +5% power magazine springs from the GOVERNMENT model
Stock No. 74961 - each.....$ 7.49 ea

I would also highly recommend getting a guide rod to replace the crummy plastic one that works fine but isn't much fun to load into the gun with the burrs it developes on it's end. You can get it silver or black

Stock No. 33120 - Guide Rod Only - Bright Finish.....$ 19.99
Stock No. 33121 - Guide Rod Only - Black Finish.....$ 19.99

If you run in to trouble I can help. Send me a PM

Thanks,
I think I might go ahead and try the springs and guide rod first.
