Default Kimber CDP II ejector

Mine is loose. I noticed it tonight when field stripping the firearm. Not very much, but it is no longer solidly in place. Has a very slight up and down movement. It shot as well as it ever did last time I had it out at the range. A search of the Kimber sub-forums on M1911Forum and 1911Forum finds a guy contacting Dennis at Kimber about the same problem and Dennis says it's not a problem. What say ye?

It's not a problem if it is just loose. Is the pin still in place that holds onto the frame?

I have shot with no ejector pin before. The slide keeps it in place.

Yup, pin is still there.

Thanks Greg.

No problem. I have a multi caliber "O" frame. I change the upper half and ejector. The ejector has never been pinned. It does fall off when I take off the slide though.
