Cool Lucas Gun Oil...

a new product out here that may be of interest to you, its a specially designed synthetic gun oil, created by LUCAS LUBRICANTS, you may have seen their oils advertised on the side of hi performance race cars, they produce some of the highest quality synthetic motor oils available today, well they have made a very high performace gun oil for us, don't know of any other oil on the market that posseses the specific lubricating properties of this product for fire arms usage, go to their web site for the tech info behind the gun oil formulation and why it might be the best one can use. also real tree products is a distributor for the lucas product, under their label....

Where you located at Bald Biker? I ride an ol' 84 shovelhead here in Santa Maria and have been using 3 in 1 oil for years and still do in my ol' M1 30 Carbine.

I have been using it for several years (it's not "new") with great results. I will probably be in need of a new bottle later this year.

As a past representative of a specialty lubricant manufacturer ... not Lucas Oil .... I would trust their testing and product selection. If they recommend it for a tranny, it works, if they recommend it for engine wear, it works, if they recommend it for guns .... I am sure it works.

I cringe at the 3 in 1 comment .... it offers very little metal to metal protection, but is an oil that attracts dirt and is slippery to the touch ..... that's about it.

Remember the recommendation of using ATF as a gun oil. So finding a great firearm lubricant from Lucas, frankly, sounds like an easy move for Lucas. All they have to do is to deodorize it, and introduce an appropriate eau, and they have a winner!

According to a firearms expert friend, and a little of what I know of automotive history, ATF was developed as a synthetic replacement for sperm oil, still one of the finest lubricants ever.

Thanks it's the same company, their electronics gave me nothing but trouble with my XK-120 Jag and when a mechanic changed my spark plug wires in my Jeep Scrambler. My GS used Sperm Whale Oil to lube all the weapons coming in and out of his shop. Brownells used to carry it.

Cool

LUCAS OIL does not make refrigerators, electronics, ect, it was founded in 1984, it has been an inovator in petroleum products with inhouse test facilities, they make very high quality lubrication products with a proven track record with the biggest, badest, fastest vehicles on earth..all made here in the u.s.a., i do remember having lucas carbs on a english mini cooper back in the 60;s but not the same co. seems like i even remember a m-1 carbine or maybe a garrand with the lucas stamp on it?? but still not the lubrication co .here in the us.. g-day mate !!
