Default A reward for California CCW holders

I have decided to put my money where my mouth is. Therefore, as the owner of my own towing service here in the San Diego area, I have just established a NEW Super Discount policy!

Effective Immediately: Every person who holds a valid California CCW permit either for self-defense or simply for the expressed purpose of exercising their 2nd Amendment right, and finds his/herself in need of my services will receive a 25% discount off of the total invoice amount.

I will call this my CalCCW Discount!

My rates are very competitive, and believe me, I am not raking in the bucks, but I do take $5.00 off for every member of the military, and occasionally I will give a small discount to a repeat customer or a repair shop that give me preferential references, but this 25% discount will be reserved exclusively for those persons who demonstrate their understanding of the the 2nd Amendment and its importance to the survival of this nation by maintaining a valid California CCW permit.

Those who have a valid permit and are actually carrying at the time of service will receive 50% off of their invoice total!

How's that for a gun friendly business policy? Take THAT, you gun grabbers!

Since I do not identify my business here, if you ever use a towing service, just tell the driver that you want The CalCCW Discount!

If you have hired ME, show me a current California CCW permit and you will receive 25% off! Show me that you are actually carrying, and receive another 25% off!

If you hired someone else, this will give you something to talk about during your ride!

That's putting your $s where your mouth is .... :-) You may want to consider splitting the "discount" with your pro-CCW candidates .... everything helps.

I'm not telling a stranger if I'm carrying or even that I have a permit. Beyond that I do not know which un-named service is yours so I'm not going to call a bunch of different services letting them know that I'm stranded and carrying a weapon untill I find yours.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and your willingness to step up to the line, more people need to be proactive like you are.

I will not be using your service however. But thanks for your participation.

I understand completely, but that would not be necessary.

I've sent you a private message with my company name and such. I don't want to post it on a public message board.

No problem. Perhaps you'll change your mind!

BTW, you NEVER have to tell anyone that you are carrying. Lets say you call for a towing service. The guy rolls up and YOU say, "Do you offer the CalCCW Discount?" If he says, "What the heck is that?" you can reply, "Never mind." If he replies, "YOU BET, my friend!" then it will be ME , and you'll save 50% on your bill!

PM on the way.

ARE there any PRO-CCW candidates here in California?

What do you mean "split" the discount? How could I give 1/2 of 50% off to a candidate?

Default Thanks for being committed!

Way to go! You are right and that IS putting your money where your mouth is. I will look into doing something similar with my business up in Bakersfield. I am not down in the San Diego area often, but it 'almost' makes me wish my car would break down there just to get to meet you. Great idea, Thanks again!

Thanks! but ... if your car broke down, I couldn't help you. I only tow motorcycles. I am working toward adding those little wind-up "Smart Cars" to my list of vehicles I tow, as well as the club cars, Mazda Miyata, Mini Coopers, MR2s and so forth. My truck cannot handle a regular car, but those small ones will fit!

Well, I DO own a Suzuki Burgman scooter (400 cc) but I doubt I will be in your area anytime soon. Still, it's a great idea and I applaud you for being original and concerned.

Thus far, no one has taken me up on the offer. I have CalCCW business cards prominently displayed on the dash right in front of the passenger seat , along with some opencarry.org flyers and other conversation starters. I bring up the 2nd Amendment and the RKBA with almost every customer, unless they reveal a rabid anti-gun stance early on in the brief conversation that ensues during the tow.

I do have a few far Left customers, and it is all I can do to listen to them ramble on about how wonderful it is that Obama won, and how bad it is that Prop. 8 passed, and so on and so forth. I try to keep politics out of my business dealings, but especially, I don't want to get into a heated political discussion with someone who hasn't paid his bill yet.

I am going to make up a laminated sign for the dash that reads, "Show me your CCW and receive 25% off of this tow. Get another 25% off if you are legally CARRYING with a CCW right now! I'll let you know how THAT goes.
