Default Ade's in Orange "The little shop that could"

I want to give a huge "props" to Ade's Gun Shop in Orange. Ade is extremely polite, has fair prices and treats everyone as if they are his best customer. I have seen him answer the dumbest statement with a smile. He also corrects improper facts with a grandfatherly approach. Ade's is just South of Chapman Ave on Tustin Ave in Orange, next to a check cashing center and a coin shop.
The only negative is that you almost need an extra hour to get through the line of DROSers.

I could not agree more. Ade is a top notch guy. Bought my mosin and SKS from him and would not think of going anywhere else for my purchases.

I'll chime in as well to agree with the previous posts about Ade's professionalism and courtesy. I've bought several guns from Ade's as well as Ade handling the private party transfers. I've always been satisfied.

As someone pointed out, his reputation and popularity is spreading and I do notice his store is getting busier and busier. I just DROS'd a new gun last week with him and I'm glad to see he has hired at least two more people to support him.

More props. Had my first off-list lowers sent to Ade before I'd even been there, on a friend's recommendation. Great guy.

Oh yeah? Well, Ade delivered my first son in the back of a taxi. He bit the umbilical cord off with his teeth.

A lot of people don't know this but a very well known character in the movie "A Few Good Men" is based on a conversation over heard in Ade's shop.

It went a little something like this....

Ade: "You want answers?"

Customer: "I think we are entitled to them!"

Ade: "You want answers?!!!"

Customer: "I want the truth!"

Ade: "YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!"

Ade (continuing): "Son, we live in a world that requires us to protect ourselves. And that protection comes from the sidearm we carry. So, who's going to do it? You? You, “Mr. I can’t find the safety on my 1911?” Or you, Mr. “I need to polish my feed ramp?” I don’t think so!. Because of 1911 fans like you, Glock owners have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom.

You scoff at our “plastic guns” and you curse our ergonomics. But Glock owners carry the burden on knowing that while our frames may be plastics, and that our lower ends may melt if left out in the sun, our guns work just fine right out of the box. And our Glocks very existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, protects us just fine! You don't want to know the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at the range ... you want a Glock. You NEED a Glock!

We use phrases like “safe action triggers” and “sharp but controllable recoil” as the backbone to our firearms platform. You use them as a punch line!

World wide more Glocks are carried by LEO's then any other handgun and I have neither the time nor inclination to explain why to people who rise and sleep under the very blanket of protection a Glock provides and then question the manner in which it is provided. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a phone and make a call to your favorite gunsmith and set an appointment to tune up that precious 1911. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think about a Glock"

Customer: OK, I'll take the Glock.

Ade: "You're darn right you will!"
