Dear Tenant:

Pursuant to the terms of your Lease, the landlord reserves the right to adopt rules and regulations for the office project as it deems reasonable and appropriate from time to time. In order to enhance the safety and well-being of tenants and other occupants, it is important that firearms not be brought to the project. Even unloaded weapons may, if observed, create the appearance of a threat and result in police intervention. Accordingly, the following requirement shall henceforth be in effect and is adopted as a new project rule in accordance with your Lease:

Neither Tenant nor its employees, agents, contractors, invitees or licensees shall bring any firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, into the Project at any time.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Makes you wonder what brought this on? Only thing I can think of is security guards on a property. Liability of course as far as IC is concerned. Must have had an incident of some kind.

So what happens if caught? They void your lease? Not the worst thing for some business'.

40% increase ouch!

I didn't realize that property owners could indeed demand that you leave your wweapon at home. I just thought that it was one of theos fictitious rights, like the "right" to refuse service.

Yes, that's the one. But picking are definitely slim in our area.

back from the dead

the good ol' Irvine Company. Its simple. They are money hungry and don't care about anyone by themselves. I had a store at the Spectrum for 5 years. The day i moved onto a bigger loaction to get outta there was the greatest day.

Also in the capt'n creams center, there were about 4-5 night clubs in the same building in the past 4 years. all shut down and then next would open then shut down.

SO TRUE.

A couple of those "night clubs" were shut down for liquor violations...they were serving minors...

That is a huge problem. That also happened to Champps one. Also Sing Sing and Rock Bottom at the Spectrum closed from underage drinking.

Yeah, that's just wrong on so many levels.

Frankly, the only reason I even knew where it was is because "The Hat" is right across the road.

It sucks seeing Rock Bottom go. About three years ago I was one of those minors who helped shut it down. I was working as a student CSO with UCIPD at the time and it was joint operation between UCIPD, IPD and state ABC.

Now that I'm 23, I wish it were still there.
