A card to give to businesses that are anti-CCW

I saw this on Rugerforum.com (give credit where credit is due). Thought it was interesting and wanted to share what I read:

I was thinking about making a few of these and keeping them in my wallet...of course I will say use good judgment on whether you do hand this out or not. I like making my point but I don't plan on burning a bridge I may need later either. Diplomacy goes a long way when applied properly.

This is for those businesses that have the "No Concealed Carry" signs posted.

I have heard some say that they have handed out cards to these places.

So....print some up on business card stock and hand out to the businesses that display the No CCW sign

Out of being plain ol' nosy, what sort of places or people have you left them with?

I have used them out of state, because I have never really noticed the no carry signs in California. It has been a while and I only used a couple and they were in Nevada and Arizona. 2 were small retail establishments and one was a retailer in a mall. No firearms signs are much more common in Shall Issue state, when we go shall issue we should expect to see these signs showing up around the state.

Maybe by then, we'll pull up in our anti-gravity pods and they'll let us bring in our phasers after a Live Scan thumbprint.

Wellllll....aren't WE a "glass half full" kinda guy. I'm with coq on this one, we will probably be carrying personal photon torpedos by the time Ca gets shall issue. But who knows....the times they are a'changin'.

ETA: Waifer??? Was Tom98915 taken over there? And BTW...don't you have crooks AND bears (oh MY!!) where you live?

The glass is almost always 1/2 full. With the cases going through the courts in the near future there is plenty of reason for optimism. Yes we do have crooks and BEARS (oh my), but the bears are easy compared to any crooks.

Hopefully we will soon have the decisions to make regarding which handguns to select that were not on the California 'Safe' list, and which 'Assault Weapon' to add to inventory. Of course this will only happen after Incorporation is decided in our favor (as it should be) and illegal firearms laws begin to drop like flies with Obama swatting them.

Gotta have hope, because without it there is not much of a light at the end of the tunnel to see that 1/2 full glass.

If you watched A&E's program last night on the marijuana problem in Humboldt County, it pretty much speaks for itself. My job exposes me to some of THOSE people which was part of my reason to get my CCW permit in the first place. BTW, waifer was my old screen name...

Those "no firearms" signs posted at the entrances of retail establishments have no legal backing. Concealled means Concealled, they should never know you're carrying. If they do happen to notice all they can do is ask you to leave. If you refuse to leave they can try to have you charged with trespassing. No weapons violation.

You seem to forget...some of us travel OUTSIDE in the free world, not California...

And your point is? Can you cite civil code that says I'm wrong?

I can not cite a code,but, if you do CCW in a place that has these signs and LEO's do respond I have been told (by RCSO) they will inform the issuing agency from where your permit was obtained & most certainly your permit will be pulled.

Those places of business have the right to refuse service to anyone, this includes a CCW. I don't like it & if you don't simple don't give them your money.
