Default Good cause questions for Riverside

Hello everyone

I'm new here and I have a few questions:

1) What kinds of things justify "good cause?" If anyone could email me some tips or even an example good cause statement I'd really appreciate it.

2) I believe one of the requirements is that you have to attend a training course, correct? Can you get your just cause evaluated before you take it, so you don't pay for the course for nothing?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard Texan. If you list you county in your profile, that would be helpful for those that can address your situation. As to the good cause statement, you need to formulate that based upon your particular needs, as to why you need a CCW. Once you've done that, there are several members here that can review it for you and offer suggestions. Please do not post your good cause publicly.

I'd be interested in Riverside county also, I possibly might re-locate there.

You take the training after you apply prior to approval in that county. If you live a city and not in the county, you need to apply with the city first.

Riverside City has about 8 or 9. The city of Corona does not issue.

Corona might issue when they get a new Chief of Police. They used to.

If I understand correctly. Using Corona as an example, you would apply in the city of Corona. If you get denied then you move on to the county Sheriff.

The county will not take your application until you have applied and been denied on the city level first.

The chief just sits on the application and doesn't do anything. You don't get denied or approved. He is not ready to retire yet.
