The only problem with that is the length of time it takes to establish residency in another county. Might be better for him to stick it out in Riverside. If it's an emergency situation, he may at least be able to get a temporary license.

Thanks guys but it sounds like Im not going to be able to get one. CCWI said that it doesnt look like im going to get one. Good thing I know alot of defensive tacticts and have had alot of training on awareness and what not. I alwayse cary a knife and some police grade pepper spray too but if the attacker has a gun im out of luck... Im going to be moving to orange county in about 4 months so hopefully it will be alot easier. Just hope nothing happens before that. How hard is it to get a temporary since it is mostly a temporary issue I am dealing with that if nothing would happen in the next year then probably nothing would happen at all?

So does San Bernardino County, and it is closer to his work.

Same applies for moving to OC, which he says he plans to do in about four months. Even if he moved here today, he has to be here for 90 days before he can apply. That's a long time when you're facing an immediate threat. Yes, but not only does he have the same problem with the length of time required to establish residency, in San Bernardino the wait time once you apply is up to one year if I recall correctly from other posts. How does that help with an immediate threat? |

A few yrs ago, my brother, who lives in Inyo County, got a temporary at the suggestion and encouragement of local LE. He was receiving life threatning phone calls (terrorist threats).

Unfortunately his is work related, and he works for a anti-gun business. Even for personal protection, they would check with that business. . . .
