Mrs. Bard is waiting too. Interviewed before the new Sheriff was selected but not early enough. We've got the arms ready to PPT to her if the fat envelope ever comes.

Would it be safe to say that the new policy would still include private citizens that are not either DA's , judges etc.

She has said her new policy is going to be more restrictive. In my opinion, that will mean us every day joes will not get the same rights to self defense as a judge, DA, reserve deputy, or other public official will get.

I hope i dont end up getting the shorter end of the stick.

Just thought I would let everyone know the progress of my application. Nothing at this time. As of today it has been 3 months. Waited on the new sheriff to review everything and put a new policy together. Talked to Melissa today and still no word. I was wondering if anyone has recieved their CCW that had applied around the same time as me? My date of interview was 6/11/08

I received a 'denial' letter (for my initial application) dated August 14th on the 15th. I called Melissa that day, and requested to meet again, which I did on August 20th. I was able to get a little bit from Melissa on the phone, as to what would 'help' further support my GC. I put together more supporting information, documents and wrote an additional GC letter stating why I was appealing and provided further detailed information on my GC. CCWI was nice enough to review it for me. On the 20th, I spent about an hour with Melissa, going over all the details and gave her a copy of the appeal letter. Since then, I've followed up twice. Melissa was out of the office all last week and is digging out of a back log again. I f/u yesterday and she told me she 'still didn't have my file back' and would let me know as soon as she heard anything. I don't know where the file is, but figure it's in a stack on the Lt.'s desk??? That's all I know.... Hope that helps.

If she doesn't have it, that's where is should be.

Good to know. Didn't mean to imply any lack of attention by Melissa. She's been extremely professional and helpful. Just didn't know if the Lt. was reviewing files or if 'higher up' is reviewing files....

Default Update on my CCW

Spoke with Melissa today. She called me and said that I needed two (2) more character reference letters and some bank statements. I was told that I should have an answer by tomorrow
