Default Assistance in Riverside County???

ok. i have decided that i am going to try to get my ccw. now what? if i have read some of the posts correctly, some have received their processing prior to deciding which weapon(s) they are going to carry. i need to find out if riverside is particularly heavy handed in their approach to valid requests. ie: just deny out of hand.

i need some help on my good cause. i believe that i have one, but i will obviously need to hone it down.

my intention is to purchase a weapon in the next few weeks. i am now reviewing my options in this area. any help and advice on good carry weapons is greatly appreciated. i also have an acquaintance that is with the lapd, so i will also be asking his advice.

anyway, i'm glad you guys are here, and i hope that i can get your help. pm's are gratefully accepted.

by the way, i am a member of the nra, if that means anything in the process.

also, i just tried to find info on the riverside county sheriff website, but there is nothing there.

It means we like you better, but you'd get help anyway. Relax, help will be here shortly. And good luck.

They do not factor in your firerms experience. They look at your need to get a CCW. Bottom line, what puts you at more risk than the average citizen.

You need to understand that Founding Members can help you with your good cause are far a refining it. They will not come up with one that works for you to get approved. That is your job.

i understand that. i am not looking for anybody to come up with a good cause for me. i am looking for tips to refining what i already have. and, as i am reading thru some of the responses that i have gotten, it looks as if riverside is not as easy as orange or san bernardino counties. so, help is what tips are what i am looking for.

Mr G, that GC would only apply if your employer is assisting you with the proper reference letters, which also may result in yor permit having restrictions on it, such as only being good for you to carry while working.

Do you ever transport valuable data? Or expensive equipment? You have to think of something other than work that makes a particular target or at risk for violence that the PD cannot be ready for you 24 hours a day.
