Congrats! Just curious how long from your initial interview did it take for you to receive the packet in the mail?

About three and a half weeks, but apparently they were waiting on information relating to my good cause that wasn't possible to obtain, so I had to call them and tell them a second time that I couldn't get it (Melissa asked, and I told her, and then the guy reviewing the file was apparently sitting on it thinking I was going to bring it in). Once we cleared that up, I got the thick envelope a few days later.

I had a slightly similar situation - waiting for some information on my background check that no longer exists. Once I wrote a letter explaining it, the LT made a decision within a couple of days.

Armory appointment today. Guns are cleaned, empty, with slides locked back, stored properly in a locked container separate from the ammunition.

I'm nervous.

Passed the armory inspection and picked up my CCW from Melissa this morning!
