Default Solano CCW Permit

Anyone have information on the ease of dealing with Solano County Sheriff with the issuance of a CCW? Do I have to apply with Local PD first if I live in the city limits? I have a Florida Non-Resident CCW and was thinking of getting a CA. CCW Permit if possible.

The only readily available info on their website is this (listing CCW fees):
Solano County

More info:
Newsletter Issue 5 Final.pub

The Sheriff only started accepting CCW aplications from correctional officers on 1/1/03.
Not a good sign...

Welcome aboard!
Nice to see a fellow Bayarea person here.
Best of luck on your CCW!

Hello,

If you live in an incorporated city in Solano County, you go to your respective Police Department first. If you get rejected there, you are allowed to appeal to the Sheriff and file an application with him.

The Solano Sheriff will not accept an application from you unless you have been rejected by your city's Police Department first.

Best of luck!
Edward
