Default Working On Good Cause In Sacramento

I was denied last September, after this CCW holder by the name of Steve Nolan was going around the area telling people he could GUARANTEE he could put them on their way to getting their permits. He told me VERBATIM what to put down as good cause & that I was ASSURED carrying rights within the process time. Unfortunately, he turned out to be a shady character (in ElkGrove @ THE GUN Room, he is banned for life, and will be immediately arrested if he so much as steps foot in there--go ahead, check it out. And he was issued a CCW by the Sherriff's dept. of Sac!!!!!). Needless to say, I am now thinking about giving it another go.
Thanks,
P.F.

You need to tell us what county you intend to apply. Still Sacramento or has your residence changed?

You should write your own GC statement and then ask someone here to review it privately (don't post it here).

FWIW - You probably have TMI in this post. Remember, it's public and a lot of people surf the web.

Paul,

Your post was edited because you were providing to many details about your good cause. To answer your question, if you are applying in that same county, don't waste you time. Read the FAQ on this forum about CCW's in that county. He does not plan on issuing any new ones, period.

Thank you for your "tips," Gun Slut. Being new to this type of forum, I was bound to make some type of error, and you may have done some good. I AM glad that you left the info on Mr. Nolan on there, because he is out there "preying"(so to speak) on people who he can see want dearly the right to protect themselves, giving false hope while he waves his permit around proudly, while getting in serious trouble @ firearms retailers around the Sac area ( the Gun Room incident is only one (the worst) of three that I know of). I'm going to PM you w/ some other info/questions regarding a few things, unless you object to that, so I'll wait a couple of days for a reply.
Take Care,
P.F.

PF,

I'm sure I can speak for GS and say that you can PM him anytime. Can't guarantee an immediate response, but he is VERY good to talk to.

I'm guessing that Jim was just a typo for John.

BTW, I'm another X-Sac County resident- still have a business there though. You have less that 1% chance to get a CCW there. I do know a couple that have them - they have been told that if they screw up in the slightest (read administratively, not necessarily legally) - they will loose them quick. These two are not judges or lawyers.

Interesting about Nolan - i've never heard of him. (Doesn't mean alot). Did he go under a business name?

I don't know, but he is WELL known @ River City GUN Exchange; Bart (R.O. @ Mangan Range) knows who he is (so does Dave (R.O.)). He is probably in his late 40's- early 50's, African-American; comes off @ first as very affable; and he is somehow involved in Pharmaceutical Sales. That's about all I know. When I realized he was worthless & full of s**t, I stopped contacting him.
