Default Sonoma County Specifics?

oes anyone know where I can find the specific laws for Sonoma County CCW? Do I need to go to the police chief or the sherriff?

Just about every Sheriff's Dept website has the instructions and procedures posted.

Their Site doesn't. Took me less time to find that than it did for you to send him in the wrong direction.

For the record, only those Departments that promote CCW's list it on their websites. The rest don't.

Ok, my bad. Since I've seen it on LA and SD's sites I assumed they all post it.

I guess assuming made an "____" out of me ... lol

Sacramento Sheriff's Department has it on their website, but it's not on their main page, it's on a page linked directly from the main page. It's certainly not exactly "promoted".

I've seen the same thing on other Sheriff websites out of state. Oregon is "Shall Issue" for residents. Those agencies that promote CCW put links directly on their front page. Others bury references to it, usually on a "forms" page or put it in a "licensing" unit... and put the CCW info there.

All you'll find on the Sac Sheriff's website is the policy of the Sac Sheriff's Department. Santa Rosa PD or Sonoma County Sheriff's websites may have their CCW policies buried similarly or not posted at all. Since you apparently live over there, that's where you should look.

We would love to hear your experiences and observations as you investigate and go through the application process!
