Default Airport experience

Flew to New Mexico last year, left out of Oakland on PSA.

Had no problem checking guns in, but it was like a show and tell at the counter. Supervisors called, like it was a big deal. Had ammo in orignal packaging.

I would say that while I had no issues, my impression was that if you made any mistakes like carrying a speed loader or mag that you forgot was in your pocket and took it into the secure area, that you would get no slack.

New Mexico was different. I just mentioned at the counter I had 2 pistols in my check in. They asked if they were loaded, I said no, and asked if they wanted to check, they said, no big deal.

I guess different parts of the country have different attitudes.
