riverside county application process - question

Greetings! I can find nothing on how to begin the process of applying for a CCW permit in Riverside County. I just need a starting point!

hate to say this but Riverside is very very unlikely to issue.

hope my memory is right on this one...if not, someone will correct me...

if you live in the city, Riverside; then you apply with the Chief of Police.

if you live in an un-incorporated city within Riverside County; then you apply directly to the Sheriffs dept.

Thanks so much for the quick response. i actually live in Indio (by Palm Springs) I have heard what you stated, that it is difficult to obtain in Riverside County, but I will try anyway as I need one in my business. Can someone tell me what to do. Do I go to a sherriff sub-station and ask for a permit application? Do I go to city hall and ask for an application? I need a starting point and some info on what to expect. Please.

You would call the issuing agency to obtain an application, or download one off of the internet.

You should probably read through the FAQ's here and your county FAQ's as well. If you still have questions a quick search of the site will bring up any relevant information and questions will be answered as well.

I have an application submitted and the process was fairly easy. Call the CCW Unit and ask for the packet, fill it out adn return. I fthink that might have been teh easy part. Submitted about two weeks ago and waiting to hear from the Unit.
