Default Another win for the good guys.

LiveLeak.com - Victim Shoots Attempted Robber in Self Defense

I'm happy to see the press finally refer to the ccw holder as the victim instead of the would be robber.

That’s what I call gun control.

One for the archive. Someone need to capture the video. It gave the best coverage I've seen. I like the lawyer discussing the PTSD incurred by the victim as a result of the shooting.

Quote:
Victim Shoots Attempted Robber in Self Defense

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A 20-year-old man attempted to rob two victims at gunpoint near an ATM when one of the victim’s took out a handgun and shot him.

Police were called to the Bank of America, 8320 North Oak Trafficway, in regard to a shooting just before 9 a.m. Saturday.

When police arrived, they found a male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

According to police, an older couple was leaving the drive-thru when a robber came up and pointed a gun at the wife’s head.

Her husband got out of the car with his own gun.

The suspect aimed for the husband, but the husband fired first shooting the robber in the head. The man and his wife were clearly shaken, but stayed put until police arrived to question everyone.

Officers said it looks like an open and shut case of self-defense.

Agreed. I'm happy the press referred to the correct person as the victim. Usually the thug is the one the press will refer to as "the shooting victim"

I like how the lawyer (who I understand was a driving force in getting ccw for that state) said most people getting their permit do so in the hopes of never having to use it. I'm paraphrasing.

Default Another one bites the dust!

I hope MO doesn't allow law suits over self defense.
