BLFD1, Welcome to the forum. First off read all of the FAQ's for your county. Second, do not post your GC in public areas
. If you need advice you can PM CCWI about it, but your good cause is yours and it is private. Again welcome aboard. gr8fatman Last edited by gr8fatman : 08-04-2008 at 10:57 PM. Reason: misplaced words |

http://www.calccw.com/Forums/new-mem...me-calccw.html There's a lot of information posted in the FAQ section. It's a good idea to read through it, and also use the search feature before posting. You'll probably find many of your questions have already been answered. Welcome to CalCCW. |

So I called the SCSO about how to go about obtaining the application and what steps are needed for their process.
I called the records division and when I told the lady that answered "I'm interested in getting info on how to obtain a concealed weapons permit", you could hear the lack of enthusiasm and the (yeah right) tone in her voice. She said the the CSI division handles CCW and she transferred me. Of course there was no answer and I was sent to voice jail. I wasn't going to leave a message... So then I got to thinking, what were they going to ask me? and was I prepared to answer questions at that moment? So does anyone know what type of questions I should be asking or what they are likely to ask of me? Of course I think my GC is sufficient, but then again, I think shall issue is my right. If you guys have ideas or comments, throw 'em out there. This same thread also posted on Calguns.net Last edited by BLFD1 : 08-06-2008 at 11:50 AM. Reason: Added title |

Here in Fresno county they used to (a couple years ago) pre-screen you over the phone and would not send an application if you did not meet their idea of good cause. I once argued with the officer that if they did not send out the applications even to those that would not be approved then it would make there issuance percentage look better to those who may be doing research. This of course was of no concern to him and changed nothing. ![]()
