Mine is folded in quarters and inserted behind my driver's license, like many others here. So far, so good.

LOL, that's exactly how mine is stored, smack dab between my CADL and UTAH CCW.

I did laminate mine at the suggestion of Melissa at PSD. Hopefully OC will switch to the new plastic style soon.

I wish Kern County would go to the plastic credit card type. Heck, I wouldnt have a problem paying a little extra fees if thats what it would take.

I was informed quite emphatically by someone who knows more about this than me that the rice paper copy should be carried on my person. So, not wishing to incur some kind of wrath of CCWI... rice paper behind the drivers license it is.

I know this is somewhat orthogonal to the thread but still semi on topic - is there any issue making high resolution scans of the rice paper CCW, laminating them and stashing them in the various places where you might be as a "just in case"? I assume it's considered a document like any other, the original is the "valid" document but a copy can be used in a pinch as "No really, I do have a CCW, please make my life infinitely harder and call the issuing agency."

How do you know it's not worn out if you don't take it out and check on it??

Ask me the same question in about 10 weeks. I may not have one to carry.

Another ditto for this method. My last one held up fine.

Folded in half, the edges trimmed down a tad and laminated.

Turns out just a whisker wider than my CDL.

First off, Orthogonal? WTF???
I don't remember University of Phoenix ever teaching us that word.
(hey, maybe it's true what they say... UOP = 13th grade.)

Second, lots of people make copies and have them stashed where they might need one. I guess the idea is having a copy when needed is (only slightly) better then none at all.

And C, one of our members suggested there may be a time when our ID's are not where we are... I know, I know, we're always in condition yellow and all that... but still, I could see losing my wallet while packing... so having a copy in the glove box to get me and my glock home isn't a bad idea.
