It was mentioned that the above statement might be misconstrued, so let me emphasize that it was made in jest, and in no way implies that a good cause is something that can be manufactured. Each good cause must be applicable to the circumstances and situation of the individual applying for his or her CCW license, and be approved on its own merit.

When our new Sheriff put a halt to the process, she said her new policy would be out by the end of the month...

Since then there has been lots of speculation, and a couple weeks ago we were shown the "draft" of a new policy. The draft certainly left her a lot of wiggle room and I assume was put out as a trial ballon, something intended to measure the response from BOS, CLEO's, voters and maybe even current CCW holders.

The draft received less then positive response, so I assume changes or modifications have been considered.

Well, it's now offically the end of month.

Do we have a policy?

I'd be glad to contact the sheriff tomorrow and ask on the status of the policy, as I've been waiting for the 'fat envelope' since my interview the first week of June---just before she stepped in and 'halted' everything.
