Default Ultra CDP sight adjustment

Shooting a bit to the left. It looks like I could use a drift to move either the front or rear sight (after loosening the set screw)

What is the best way to make a minor adjustment?

just left? or low left?

have other people shoot your gun, that is the best way to know its not the sights. Hitting left is usually from your trigger finger too far over on the trigger, should just have the pad of your finger. I tend to get my finger over too much as well and i notice the left pattern. I correct and its straight again.

99.99% its not the sights my friend

The best way is to use a sight pusher like some of the ones shown in Brownells. Categories

This will give you very fine control over just how far you are moving the sights. If you can't get your hands on one, you'll have to use a calibrated tap of the hammer against the plastic drift.

My Ultra Carry II shot left outa the box... drifted the front sight back to center...it was off from the factory... then moved the front sight slightly left and that centered the groups up... just a few thousands of an inch is all it took... if you move the rear sight... for me anyway, it effects the way the gun comes to my eye.. the front sight adjustment is easier for me, if the adjustment is slight, to center things up...
That's the way I did it anyway...

"just left? or low left?"

Just left. Consistantly about two inches off at 15 yards. Left handed or right handed shooting, free hand or bench rest, same error.

I'm sure some could live with it but it bugs me.

check the center of your front sight and make sure it is centered .. if you have a caliper that is helpful... use a soft piece of plastic or wood to gently drift the front sight... with the front sight... chase the group.. if it is left...move the front sight left...that will move the group right... two inches at 15 yards means only a few thousands movement of the front sight on the ultra guns...

If it shoots to the left with both hands. It just maybe the sights. I think it might be the placement of your trigger finger. Back your trigger finger out till it hits dead center.
