I have renewal class on Wed. 07-21-08. Main Office.
You'll enjoy it, its good and highly informative !!!
One of these days, I'll join their reserve, I think they rock,
the aviation guys are a good bunch!!!
Good Luck !!!
BTW, thanks for your timeline input. See, according to your timeline, that confirms these people are on the ball. They were getting behind, they apparently acknowledged it and jumped on it!!!

That seems a little different than what they told me. I was told to hold onto the application until my interview date which is in October.

When I called to make the appointment they informed me to turn in the application. The next day I went to Third Street and turned in the application.

Interesting, I am going to call them tomorrow and see if I can send mine in too to get the ball rolling on the background investigation.

Well...Let me see????
"They" also asked me to keep my application until my interview as well.
"They" must be changing things....maybe to make sure that you do have all paperwork finished prior to placing the call to set up the interview date? .... if you call and they ask you to bring the stuff in instead, and you really do not have it ready....in other words you called to get a slot months ahead while you finish your paperwork......Sayonara? Very strange!!!
This is a departure from prior procedure.
I will have to find out. Stay tuned!

I just had my interview today. I'll be in class w/ you on the 26th. See you there. BTW, I turned in my application at the interview. Also, they are still very backed up. I talked to the investigator about the delays, and he said that he is still processing all CCW's basically by himself. He said they are still processing backgrounds for people who interviewed in May. I'm hoping to have my permit in hand by November.......we'll see

Good question. Might warrant a phone call later in the year.
I always take a January class date to try to allow time for my March renewal date.
